Halpe´ Tea bags top six honours at NCE Awards 2016

World renowned for its distinct and flavorsome produce, Halpé Tea, a subsidiary of the U.H.E Group, the nation’s diversified entity in exports and tourism, marked its trail blazing presence in Sri Lanka’s exports arena winning a remarkable six awards including Special awards and the inaugural Late Patrick Amerasinghe Challenge Trophy at the recently concluded National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) Awards 2016.

The annual NCE Export Awards 2016 is a platform to honour and recognize exporters who contribute significantly to the local economy and reward them for their exceptional achievements in the local and international markets.

At this year’s ceremony Halpé Tea which manages the export and direct delivery of factory fresh tea and herbal products, was presented with an epic six awards, A Gold for Bulk Tea, Gold for Value Added Tea, Gold for Most Outstanding Exporter Sectorwise – Tea Bulk, and special accolades such as the Gold Award for the Best SME Exporter, Silver for Most Innovative Exporter - Related Enterprise and the inaugural winner of the ‘Patrick Amerasinghe Challenge Trophy.’

Halpé Tea Clinches Two Gold Awards at National Export Awards 2015

 

 

Halpé Tea, a subsidiary of U.H.E Group (Pvt) Ltd., was recognized with 2 gold awards at the 23rd Annual National Export Awards 2015, held on 18 September 2015 at Hilton Colombo.

The National Export Awards, organized by the National Chamber of Exporters in Sri Lanka is one of the most recognized award platforms in Sri Lanka that has taken place consecutively since 1992.


This year’s event was held to recognize and reward excellence of Sri Lankan Exporters in the year 2014.


The grand awards ceremony was attended by H.E. David Daly – Ambassador & Head of the EU Delegation in Sri Lanka, Hon. Sujeewa Senasinge, Minister of State for International Trade and Hon. Dr. Harsha De Silva – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs along with 600 participants.
