Tea Exports From Sri Lanka

With roots in tea manufacturing since the early 1970s, Halpé Tea has grown into an established Sri Lankan tea exporter, connecting its own manufacturing facilities with international markets. Our export portfolio includes single estate teas, traditional and organic black and green teas, white teas, herbal infusions, fruit and flavoured teas, and custom blends. With direct access to teas from across Sri Lanka, our team works closely with buyers to identify suitable teas and develop blends tailored to their market and customer requirements.

Selection of tea grade

Halpé Tea offers a diverse portfolio of Ceylon teas sourced from across Sri Lanka, including single estate teas and classic blends such as English Breakfast, Earl Grey, and Afternoon Tea. The range also includes black and green teas, organic selections, white teas, herbal infusions, fruit and flavoured teas. Our team provides expert guidance in identifying suitable tea grades and profiles for specific target markets, with customized blending available to meet individual customer requirements.

Packaging Type (Format- inner)

At the second stage, buyers are required to select the type of packaging for the tea. Selection criteria ranges from pyramid tea bags (luxury market), traditional double chamber/single chamber/pot tea bags (supermarkets, fmcg, restaurants, horeca market), or Loose tea or large bulk tea sacks.

Packaging Type (Format- Outer) & Design

At this stage, buyers are required to select the outer packaging. Selecton Selection criteria ranges from Tins, Carton packs, Pouches, Catering packs & paper bags all in various gramage (grams/kilograms) as per the client requirement. Once this is sorted we send you the dimensions of the selected packaging for the designing of your product. We also provide you the service of designing the package artwork for you on your requirement. Once artworks are completed, samples will be sent for review & approval of order.

Shipment Selection& handling

Depending on the order, clients could select a series of shipment modes such as Sea freight, Air freight, courier, on terms CIF, C&F or FOB. Commonly used and most economical form of shipping is sea freight. However, based on urgency, we provide large quantity shipments via air freight at any time based on the client’s requirements. Small orders or samples are generally advisable to be ordered by air or courier.

Payment & production lead time

Payment options are as follows 100% Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight Once payment is confirmed the order will commence production. Production lead time generally 30-45 days upon confirmation of order. Samples & small orders could be developed faster than above mentioned time frame.
